Join the IRC Chat! Just moved into a new house that had a installed, complete with the multi room speakers (in wall, non-bose) already setup. It's certainly dated, as the inputs are limited to RCA. I'd like to update the system to something a little more current, but not sure if there is a clean upgrade path from what I have or if I'd just have to start over. I don't necessarily need/want to stick with Bose, but our main TV room already has the 5 Bose cubes attached to the ceiling, so the wiring is already there. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.
Many people that hate on Bose gear around here have probably never even had a good listen to any of it. It is all just people parroting what they read. I would never buy a Bose setup as it is way over priced for what you get. But inheriting it for free with the house I would probably consider using it. The cost to rip it all out and replace it may or may not be worth it. Its not like a whole house system is for critical listening, its more for background music. This is exactly what Bose stuff is best for. D2 Maphack 1.13.
