Zildjian Digital Vault Vol.1 from FXpansion is a drum-sample expansion pack for the company's BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 acoustic drum software featuring a comprehensive collection of Zildjian cymbal recordings. The thirty-four crashes, splashes, rides, china cymbals and hi-hats were selected by Zildjian's master cymbal tester Paul Francis and recorded in detail by John Emrich. The sounds were played with sticks, brushes, and mallets, and feature direct microphone samples with accompanying stereo-overhead and room-microphone samples. Aside from the cymbal samples, the collection includes a series of authentic drum kit grooves.
