I know that my ICC profiles are in C/Windows/System32/Spool/Drivers/Color I have been having problems with trying to get Adobe Photoshop CS5 to recognize a certain new ICC profile (one of my computers with CS5 does and the other with CS5 does not recognize the profile). It has been suggested that it is in two locations on my computer but I can not seem to find the second location. I ended up deleting the folder with the profiles, off my computer and loading the folder from my other computer with the profiles in them (and the one I need to use) and still Photoshop does not recognize the profile I am needing to use.
That is why is was suggested that the profiles might be in two locations, and Photoshop is looking at the other location. The person said to look at C:/Users/yourusername/AppData/Adobe/Color/Profiles but I can not go past yourusername because at the next step there is no AppData. So where would they be in Windows 7? This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. In WIN 7to get to the AppData folder - while your folders are visible, click on the Organize option at the top of the window, then the View tab, at Hidden Files and Folders - click on the radio button for Show Hidden Files, Folders, Drive and these folders will display - even tho they are lighter than the rest - they are accessible. Restart Photoshop FYI - Putting my ICC profiles there from f.64 academy for coloring my photos with 1 click - Photoshop did not see them - I'll try the System 32 path next.
